Jimmy and Rachel Are Married

Congratulations Rachel and Jim Anderson!
Friday, June 13th was a wonderful day for all who know Rachel and Jimmy. The sealing was wonderful and we had family and friends by our side throughout the entire day.
Many stayed and waited for Jimmy and Rachel to appear from the Temple doors.
Dan and Jacob kept me entertained.
Jacob is getting the best of his daddy with he two handed in your face technique. Daniel, there is much more were that came from.... believe me.
Off in the distance I heard commotion .... "they're coming".
The Temple doors on the South side swung open and this is the first shot I could take.
They both look very excited and have that "I am married to my sweet heart" look.
Quickly met by a throng of well wishes this was the last individual image I could get of Jimmy and Rachel before they went with the photographer. They stepped down the stairs and made their way to the west side of the Temple for more images with family and friends.
We had a few images taken with our families but I do not have them from the photographer. I will post more images as they become available. Jim's parents, Pat and Pam Anderson, are loving and supportive parents. We are happy to have great in-laws.
Hey where is Jessica...... again the photographer has more diversity in images.
Don't they look happy.
Before I left the Temple grounds I took this image over the photographer's shoulder.
The reception is yet to be posted..... stay tuned.

Twas the Day Before the Wedding

Up, Up and away the young and old chanted as they climbed up the rock face. Many months ago we decided to go on a climbing activity before Rachel's wedding. We were hoping to get Daniel but he had to work. Next time Dan ! We had a very large group and I really enjoyed watching all scale the mountain top. One of these days Lynne and I will join you all but for know I tired myself just taking pictures. I think I am getting carpel tunnel from all the images I have taken this past month.
We were going to have a climbing contest but did not get anything formalized. Since I am posting I will decide the top three climbers of the day. Everyone did well but there were some standouts. Understand this is in no particular order:
Chad "show me the hand hold" Blazer,
Jimmy "I can jump like a cricket" Anderson, and
Jamie "I can stretch farther than you can" Scott.
Wow these three can really climb. All of the following participants easily made honorable mention and I hope to see you in contention for the next wedding:
(Heather don't getting any ideas! Paul is to young... Ha!)
Angie, Rachel, Stephanie, Heather, Corey, Richie, Hammer "I can use my hands an ice pick if necessary" Sink, Caden, Nathan, Mandy, and Lisa and Jamie G. even climbed a little.

Rachel makes her way to the top. This outcrop was her only trouble spot....
but that did not stop the "SPAZ" for long.
A long toe reach and up she went.
Heather stretches for the hand hold. It took about 10 minutes to convince Heather she could make it to the top..... with time she was successful. Congratulations !!!
Stephanie provided physical and emotional help to Heather.
Reaching for the white hand holds, Angela pulls herself up the cliff.
Angela wisely had Chad hold on to her rope.
Chad and Jimmy climb side by side in a friendly little race. They both beat each other once. The score is 1-1. Here Jimmy is ahead.
Here Chad is in the lead.

Jamie S. is a great climber. She has super balance and flexibility. It did not take her long to skedaddle to the top.
Corey my friend you are great climber in embryo. Good job !!
Keep on reaching.
Heather looks to her Daddy for comfort as she elevates to five feet above the ground.
Stephanie was fearless as a climber and provided copious amounts of encouragement to all.
Hang in there Chad !
Chad demonstrates the proper use of his prehensile metatarsals. Great move Chad !
Angela demonstrating the two handed pull method. Superb technique Angela !
Richie you made some great improvements this go around. He started take advantage of his massive soccer leg power. Hey Richie I just want you to know that it was I who was called Mr. Legs in the year book.
(You must sing this to the spider man song) Jimmy man... Jimmy man does whatever a spider can, spins a web, any size catches thieves just like flies LOOK OUT here comes Jimmy man.
Jimmy I think you get the Mr. Calf award. We cannot call you Mr. Legs because that is already taken..... but I think Mr. Calf is fitting. Nice skill set Jamie.
Don't worry Hammer will catch you if you fall the entire three feet. Again thank you for participating in our pre-wedding activity at the Quarry. Until we climb again...

Here Fishy Fishy Fishy

This past Friday morning we spent a few hours on Scofield Reservoir. This was our first boating trip of the summer. I hope many more are in the near future. Grandpa enjoyed driving the boat and getting us wet. I can remember many camping / fishing trips at Scofield with all our kids. This is a great place to catch trout and crayfish.
Dan and Richie anxiously await monster trout.
When grandpa drives you had better hold on and search for
boats that possibly could collide with the boat.

Hold on grandma..... you can see her hat in the bottom left corner of the image.

We stopped and set anchor on the South West side of the island.
Rachel is baiting her hook with the secret bait (rainbow sparkle power bait).

Just a few moments later, Richie caught the first fish (tiger trout). For the first two hours the water was very calmand we caught most of our fish near the island. We caught around 35 fish and kept 18 for dinner.
When it was time to leave, the weather turned for the worse with wind and choppy water. It was difficult to stay anchored without drifting . We had a light rain from above and water spraying from the front of the boat.
Grandma, Grandpa and I cleaned the fish after this shot and the rest took off for Lindon
(Richie had a soccer practice). We learned that all fish caught on Schofield or Strawberry
may not be filleted or have their head and tail removed. The new regulations require you keep the head and tail of the fish intact. Unfortunately it was after I removed the head of a few fish.
I think Grandma and Dan caught the most fish. I know that grandma most assuredly consistently caught the largest fish. I smoked half the fish on the barbecue last night.
The other half will be used for future meals. Dan, Richie, Rachel and I all caught small fish on castmaster lures but the large fish were all caught on power bait. A special thanks to Grandpa and Grandma for spending time with us on the lake. Hey Dan how does it feel to get beat by a Grandma.... Ha! I know ...... I am with you.

State Soccer Champions

Wow..... Mountain View High School has been in the State soccer championships the last three years and two weeks ago they won their first State Championship. Richie played very well this year and I enjoyed watching his burst of speed and passionate play.
Richie puts a head on the ball to clear it out of the box.
Richie catches a hard hit ball on his thigh setting it on the grass for a shot. It was a beautifully hard hit shot to the top right but is was just wide.
I hate it when I see him try to block the goalkeepers kick. He just missed the ball !
Waiting for a throw in Richie walks across the field and gets into a seam.
Richie ran all over the field putting pressure on his opponents.
After the semifinals the team was elated to play in the State Championship game
(Rio Tinto Stadium, where Real Soccer calls home )
Richie smiles as his name is broadcast across the stadium speakers. There was excitement in the air and the kids played with the intensity of champions. Richie runs into a seam as the ball is kicked up field.
Continuing up the field defenders take angles to cut Richie off from the goal.

Blowing by the defense Richie puts sets up to pass the ball.

Quick changes of direction gives Richie good field position for passing and shooting.
This was an awesome move..... he tapped the ball around the defender and used his speed to chase down the ball. Cool stuff !!!
With the final seconds the kids were all over the field.
Richie is holding the trophy..... what an evening!! This is one win we will all remember many years to come. Thanks Richie for giving your best effort every time you step on the grass. Remember...... good things happen to those who consistently work hard and never give up.

Jr. Prom

Heather went to Junior Prom last weekend! She went to Prom with a young man named Paul. Stephanie and Rachel helped to get her ready for the dance!
The guys got in a car accident before they picked up Heather ( Paul was not the driver) and Heather had an extra hour to sit, hang out, and make funny faces. Once Paul finally got there, they exchanged flowers and went off to dance the night away!
Heather gazing off, looking adorable!

Rachel and Jim are getting Married!!

Two little love birds sitting in a tree -- k--i--s--s--i--n--g!! First comes love!!! then comes marriage!!! then comes the baby in the baby carriage (after a few years) !!! Jim proposed to Rachel a few weeks ago and we are all excited for the big day. Their plans are to get married on June 13th at 12:00 at the Timp. Temple. We are planning on the reception that evening from 6-8 in our back yard so pray for good weather then.

They are both very excited and are now making all the wedding plans! Right now her colors are pink, yellow, orange, and lavender -- with bright pink the main color for the bride's maids dresses. But that has already changed once so this might change again. We will try to keep you updated on the progress.
